Stocks in the US climb overnight with the Dow closing 196 pts higher or 1.48% to close at 13444.96. Signs of increased productivity and report of employment helped suggested that the economy will avoid recession. ADP report showed that companies added 180,000 jobs last month, more than triple the forecast and this prompt economists to raise estimates for government's payroll to be released in 2 days. Stocks also climbed on speculation that the Fed will take measures to stem credit market losses beyond cutting overnight target loan rates between banks.
Asian markets are set to open sharply higher after the triple digits gains on Wall St. Yen is traded at high 110ish per US$, gold at $795ish, crude oil at $88ish per barrel. Nikkei futures closed at 15870 at CME, higher than yesterday's close of 15615 in Osaka and 15695 in Singapore.
The Kospi might also open much higher today. The Kospi might open at 251ish. If the Kospi opened still around 250ish or lower 251ish, it's still in my opinion quite a safe point to BUY. However, if the Kospi opened on the higher end of 251 or even higher, it'd be best to just wait it out and get another chance to buy. It's going to be quite hard to have a sell order today with the very strong market momentum upwards. My target price range for Kospi today is: 248ish-255ish.
For HangSeng, it might also open sharply higher. It might open at 30000ish and if the Hangseng still open below 30000, it's still quite safe in my opinion to BUY. if HS opened higher than that, it'd be best to just wait for another chance or even wait for 2nd session. My target price range for HS today is: 29800ish-30600ish.
