First of all, Sorry for the late posting time, my net at home is down caused by the heavy rain overnight and flood around my area.
The Dow fell overnight with a renewed concern on subprime issues and people are worried about the US economic condition which is said to be in recession. Financial and banks stocks led the decline on Wall St, with the Down ending 57 pts lower or -0.43%. Manufacturing in the US also declined to a 10 month low caused by housing slump and the rising oil prices. Crude oil is priced at $89ish, gold at $790ish while the Yen is traded at 110ish per US$. Nikkei futures is closed at 15610 at CME overnight.
The Kospi market has already been opened by the time I wrote this preview. It opened around yesterday's closing price at 243.05 and it rose up and touched its current peak at 244.65. I did however get a SELL order as I'm quite confident that the Kospi will fell a bit following the US concerns. My target price range for Kospi today is: 241ish-245ish.
The HangSeng will be opened soon and I think with the US markets losing ground overnight, the market over in Hong Kong will have another soft session. It might fall towards the 28000 level, but the fall might be limited coz HangSeng have already fell yesterday of almost 1%. If it opened higher or near yesterday's closing price, it's safe enough to get a BUY order for HangSeng following the Kospi open. My target price range for HangSeng today is: 28300ish-28800ish.
