Asian market Review 30/11/2007 (Indonesian)

Pasar2 di Asia dibuka menguat seperti yg di prediksi mengikuti kenaikan Wall St meskipun sedikit. Nikkei dibuka di 15575, Kospi di 239.40, HangSeng di 28650. Range harga hari ini tidak besar, hanya 200 pts utk Nikkei, 500 pts utk Kospi dan 400 pts utk HangSeng. Untuk para day traders yg mengikuti guide saya di pagi hari untuk Kospi dan BUY, mohon Maaf jika anda mengambil profit yg kecil. Seharusnya anda dapat mengambil paling tidak 200 pts dari harga dekat pembukaan market. Saya sendiri hanya mengambil profit di 125 pts dari harga 239.50. Pergerakan untuk sisa hari ini hanya naik dikit dan turun dikit. Tapi, untuk para day trader yg berani dan spekulatif, dan mengikuti guide saya, mrk akan berani SELL dekat penutupan ketika harga dekat dengan target harga tertinggi saya di 244an. Disini, day traders dapat mendapatkan 100 pts bonus lagi.
Market HangSeng dibuka di 28650 dan ini juga ikutan lari keatas. teori sesi 2 saya sekali lagi dibuktikan disini ketika HS dibuka menguat di sesi 2 di 28756 naik dari 28743. HS naik lagi utk mendapatkan harga tertinggi di 28932 sebelum mentutup hari ini di 28877. Pergerakan pasar hari ini cukup baik tapi tidak terlalu kuat khususnya untuk Kospi. Gap harga hari ini pun tidak terlalu besar dan signifikan dan dapat menjadi tantangan yg cukup berarti untuk para day traders. Harga emas di trade di angka $790an dan Yen di harga 110an US$.

Asian Market Review for 30/11/2007

The Asian markets opened higher as expected from the mild gains on Wall St. Nikkei was opened at 15575, Kospi opened at 239.40, HangSeng opened at 28650. The price range for today however was quite moderate, with only 200 pts range for Nikkei, 500 pts for Kospi and 400 pts for HangSeng. For those day traders who followed my guide early in the morning for Kospi and BUY, I'm sorry if you take the small profit. Day traders here can at least get 200 pts from the open when as I said, if you really BUY at or near open price at 239ish. I myself only locked in my profit at 125 pts higher when I BUY at the open for Kospi. The move for the rest of the day was like a small rollercoaster ride of mild ups and downs. 30 mins from the close however, for those brave speculative players and followed my guide and SELL near my high target price of 244ish, you can get at least another 100 pts profit there.
For HangSeng, it opened up at 28650 and it also went up further. My 2nd session theory again is proven here when HS opened up in 2nd session 28756 from 1st session close of 28743. It went up further to reach its peak at 28932 before closing the day at 28877.
Overall, today's market is quite mild compared to a few sessions before. Nice gains for Asian markets but not very strong for Kospi as what I've been expecting. Small gaps today too can be quite tricky for some day traders. Gold traded at $790ish and Yen at 109-110ish US$.

Dell menyatakan profit mereka tidak terlalu bagus dan ini mengakibatkan saham mereka turun sekitar 9% di after-hours trading di AS.
Saham2 pertambangan cukup bagus kelihatannya sejak Credit-Suisse menaikkan rating saham2 beberapa steelmakers di Jepang dan Asia.
Pada jam 8.45, Nikkei futures ada di 15660, Kospi di 243.65, HangSeng di 28714.

Pasar Dow Jones di AS ditutup menguat 22 pts (0.17%). Para investor khawatir bahwa ekonomi di AS akan menjadi pelan setelah kwartal 3 naik. Ini dikarenakan harga2 rumah baru anjlok lebih rendah dari tahun 1970 dan tingkat pengangguran berada di level tertinggi dalam 9 bulan terakhir. Kekhawatiran akan resesi meningkat lebih tinggi lagi dan satu2nya berita baik yg menopang kenaikan Dow adalah kemungkinan The Fed menurunkan suku bunga lagi di bulan Desember nanti. JPY ada di level 109.90an, minya mentah di level $91an dan emas ada di level $790an pada jam 5an. Nikkei futures di CME ditutup di level 15600, tidak bergerak banyak dari penutupan kemarin di 15616. Kospi mungkin akan naik lagi hari ini, tapi kecenderungan untuk turun akan sedikit lebih besar daripada naik. Pertama dikarenakan hari ini adalah Jumat dan investors mungkin akan melakukan aksi profit taking setelah kenaikan berturut2 yang cukup siginifikan. Jika Kospi masih dibuka di level 239an, BUY masih relatif aman dan bisa mendapat profit cepat kira2 50 pts pada pembukaan trade. Menurut saya, untuk day traders, mungkin akan bagus jika mereka ambil profit2 cepat dan masuk market beberapa kali hari ini, karena pasar akan mungkin bergerak antara + and - cukup banyak. Target harga Kospi hari ini ada di kisarah 237an-244an menurut saya.
Untuk HangSeng, pasar akan dibuka dengan kecenderungan menguat dari penutupan kemarin, tapi jgn lupa perhatikan aksi profit taking. Futures kontrak yg baru akan dimainkan hari ini dan target harga saya untuk HS adalah: 28000an-28700an.

Asian market Preview 30/11/2007

The Dow closed higher in the US overnight after swinging between gains and losses. Dow Jones is closed higher by 22 pts (0.17%). Investors are worried as the US economy seemed to be faltering after a third-quarter expansion as new-home prices dropped the most since 1970 and jobless claims rose to a nine-month high. Fears of recession is higher than ever and perhaps, the only good news that keep the Dow in positive territory is because investors are more certain that The Fed is going to cut rates further in December. JPY is traded at 109.90ish per US$, crude oil traded at $91ish and gold is traded at $790ish at around 5 AM. Nikkei futures in CME is settled at 15600, little change from yesterday's close of 15615.
The Kospi today might rise again but it's going to be very mild and watch out for correction to take place. since it is also a Friday. Investors might lock in quick profit after strong gains for the past 2 days. If the Kospi opened at around closing price, 239ish, a BUY is quite safe I think to lock in a quick profit of 50 pts in early trade. Market might still move up but a selling bias tend might be bigger among the investors. It might be wise for day traders to lock in quick profits and enter a few times today, as the market might swing between gains and losses quite often. My target price range for Kospi today is: 237ish-244ish.
For HangSeng, it might still open stronger than yesterday's close, but again watch out for correction too. New futures contract is in play today for HangSeng and my target price range of HS is: 28100ish-28700ish.

Pasar2 di Asia hari ini dibuka menguat seperti yg diperkirakan berdasarkan kenaikan yg signifikan di AS semalam. Tetapi, penguatan di bursa2 Asia tidak sekuat yg diperkirakan semula. Untuk Kospi, pasar dibuka menguat di 240.35 pada pagi hari, dan untuk day trader yg mengikuti guide saya, jika mereka BUY dekat di pagi hari, anda akan mendapatkan profit cepat sekitar 50+ pts dalam waktu 5-10 mins. Di kisaran harga terendah di 238, kans kedua pun hadir dan anda akan mendapat sekitar 50ish-200ish karena, Kospi menyentuh angka 241.05 dekat penutupan sebelum jatuh dan tutup di 239.45
HangSeng's futures kontrak habis pada hari ini, dan di sesi kedua, HS futures beralih ke kontrak desember yg baru. Teori sesi 2 hari ini tidak berlaku seperti biasa. HS kontrak November ditutup di 28475 dan kontrak baru ditutup di 28399. Harga2 komoditi tidak bergerak banyak dengan emas di kisaran $805ish dan Yen Jepang di harga 110ish US$. Koreksi akan diperkirakan terjadi untuk trading besok, tetapi tergantung dengan peforma Dow malam ini.

Asian Market Review 29/11/2007

Today's Asian market opened higher as expected from the very strong gains in the US last night. However, the strength was not very very significant as what I expected. For the Kospi, it opened up at 240.35 in the morning, and for those who followed my guide, if they BUY it close to the open price, you should be expecting a fairly quick profit of abt 50+ pts within the first 5-10 mins of trading. I did that and after that I waited for my chance to get another BUY close my target low price at around 238ish. The gains were not very significant and I did not see my high price target of 247ish or even close to 245. It reached 241.05 near the close and the market closed at 239.45.
HangSeng's futures contract was finishing as it is the end of the month and the 2nd session theory here as usual did not apply coz, the 2nd session, HS futures switched to the new one and the old contract doesn't move much at all. My target price for HS is close enough for the highest price in both the old and new contract with the old one touching 28644 and the new contract was at 28714. The HangSeng old contract closed at 28475 and new contract closed at 28399.
Commodities prices didn't move very much with gold at $805ish at around 4 PM. Japanese Yen traded at low 110ish against the US$. I think some corrections are bound to happen tomorrow, but it'll all depend on the Dow performance tonight.

Dow Jones di AS melakukan rally yg hebat semalam, ditutup menguat 331 pts atau menguat 2.55%. The Fed menaruh harapan ke pasar bahwa akan ada penurunan suku bunga lagi dan ini menyebabkan penguatan yg signifikan di AS. Harga2 komoditi melemah, dengan minyak turun 4% ke $91ish dan emas di harga $804ish. Pasar2 asia mungkin akan dibuka lompat ke atas dengan Nikkei berada di 15530 di CME, jauh lebih tinggi dibanding harga penutupan kemarin di 15125. Untuk Kospi, mungkin akan dibuka di level 240ish. Untuk day traders, jika Kospi masih dibuka dibawah 240, saya rasa masih cukup aman untuk BUY di pagi hari dan mendapatkan profit cepat. Jika sudah dibuka diatas 240 tinggi, tunggu saja jika anda tidak berani berspekulatif. Menurut pendapat saya, jika market dibuka masih dibawah 3% diatas dari penutupan kemarin, ini masih aman untuk BUY karena cenderung menguat. Target harga saya utk Kospi hari ini adalah: 238ish-247ish. Kans menguat akan cukup signifikan, jika anda SELL, harap berhati2 dan bertindaklah dengan cepat jika sudah dapat profit.
Untuk HangSeng, mungkin akan dibuka menguat di level 28000ish. Jika masih dibuka dibawah level 28000, menurut saya masih patut untuk BUY ketika market buka untuk mendapat profit cepat. Target harga saya untuk HS adalah: 27800ish-28500ish.

Asian market Preview 29/11/2007

The Dow had a huge run last night, closing up 331 pts or 2.55% higher. The Fed indicates a further rate cut might be in place and sparked the huge rally. However, the commodities prices seem to drop about 4% for crude oil to $91ish and gold was settled at $804ish in NYMEX. Asian markets are set to open sharply higher with Nikkei futures on CME at 15530, higher than the close yesterday of 15125. For Kospi, it might open at around 240ish. For day traders, if the Kospi opened still below 240, it's safe enough to BUY early in the morning to get a fairly quick profit (within an hour). If the Kospi opened well above 240.50, just wait it out a bit if you're not brave enough to speculate. However, in my opinion if the market still open below 3% up from yesterday's close, it's still safe to BUY. My target price range for Kospi today would be: 238ish-247ish. The up trend is going to be quite dominant today, so if you're SELLING, just make sure you have to be quick about it.
For HangSeng, it might open sharply higher at around 28000ish. If the HS open below 28000, I think it's still safe to BUY when market open to get a quick profit. My target price for HS would be: 27800ish-28500ish.

Pasar2 di Asia hari ini kelihatan mixed, dengan Nikkei dan Kospi ditutup melemah lebih dari 1% untuk Kospi dan 0.5% untuk Nikkei. Tidak demikian untuk HangSeng, pasar HangSeng ditutup menguat hampir 1%. Untuk day traders yg berani dan mengikuti guide saya di pagi ini dan main Kospi, mereka akan mendapat 50 pts dengan mudahnya di pagi hari. Tetapi, untuk yg menunggu seperti saya, saya mendapatkan 150 pts dengan cukup mudah dari BUY di dekat target low price saya di 234ish pada sekitar jam 9.30 pagi. Kospi naik lagi ke kisaran 237ish dan main di sekitar sana sampai 1 jam menjelang penutupan, Kospi turun ke harga terendah di 232.10 dan pasar ditutup di 233.35.
Untuk HangSeng, target lowest saya tidak tercapai dan target harga tertinggi hampir tercapai. Pergerakan HangSeng cukup fluktuatif tapi tidak sefluktuatif biasanya. Pergerakan ini cukup bagus untuk pemain2 spekulan yg berani dengan gap harga antara 26947-27520. Teori sesi 2 saya terbukti sekali lagi untuk hit n run yg efektif. HS dibuka turun 27205 dari 27367 dan turun kembali ke kisaran 27100ish. Day traders akan mendapatkan 50 pts dengan sangat mudah seperti biasa. Pergerakan hari ini masih bisa dibilang OK, tapi dengan harga2 komoditi yg menurun terus, minyak di $94ish dan emas dibawah $800, malam ini saham2 komoditi di AS akan menjadi menarik perhatian dan pergerakan market Asia besok akan seru kembali.

Asian market Review for 28/11/2007

There's mixed pictures in the Asian markets today, with Nikkei and Kospi both closing lower, by more than 1% for Kospi and 0.5% for Nikkei. The HangSeng however, closed higher by nearly 1%. For those day traders who followed my guide earlier in the morning, the brave ones who played Kospi would get that early 50 pts so quick from the open price. However, for those who waited, I did get a nice 150 pts from BUY at close to my target low price of 234ish at around 9.30AM. It went back up to around 237ish for the rest of the day, before finally plunging down to its lowest point at 232.10 in the last hour of trading and closing the day at 233.35.
For HangSeng, I missed my target lowest price and close enough for the high price for the day. The move today is quite fluctuative but not very fluctuative. It's good for brave speculative players though with the gap price range between 26947-27520. My 2nd session theory proved once again to be effective for hit and run players. It opened lower at 27205 from 27367 and it went down further to around 27100ish, and day traders could easily get 50 pts juust in the blink of an eye.
Overall, today's market is quite ok for me, but with the commodities prices keep going down, oil at $94ish and gold is below $800 price, tonight's commodity stocks in the US can be quite tricky and tomorrow's asian market would be interesting depending on the Dow.

Asian market Preview 28/11/2007 (Indonesian)

Dow Jones semalam ditutup naik 215 pts di level 12958.44 atau naik 1.7% dari tgl 27/11. Ini sebagian besar dikarenakan optimisme para pelaku pasar di sektor finansial dan dari injeksi dana ke citigroup sebesar 7.5 miliar dolar dan juga para pencari barang murah. Tetapi, kenaikan ini masih ditutupi awan gelap karena confident consumer di AS jatuh ke level terendah dalam 2 bulan terakhir. The Fed juga mengatakan bahwa pemotongan suku bunga sudah cukup untuk sekarang dan para ekonom mengatakan bahwa kans untuk AS menghadapi resesi tahun depan lebih besar. Harga2 komoditi juga jatuh dengan harga minyak jatuh $2 ke $94ish dan emas jatuh ke $812ish dalam perdagangan semalam. Nikkei futures di CME ditutup di 14250, naik dari penutupan kemaren di 14200. Pasar Asia hari ini mungkin akan mengikuti gerakan Dow di pembukaan tetapi mungkin tidak banyak atau mungkin mereka akan jatuh ke bawah lagi karena data2 ekonomi yg kurang bagus. Kospi mungkin akan dibuka menguat ke sekitar 238.50 pada pembukaan. Untuk day traders, saya perkirakan akan bagus untuk menunggu sebentar untuk melihat arah Kospi. Untuk yg berani, jika Kospi buka di lvl 238ish, saya perkirakan akan aman untuk BUY dan mendapat profit sekitar 50an pts dengan cepat. Target range harga saya untuk hari ini adalah: 234ish-239ish. Penguatan triple digit di Wall St, tidak akan terlalu berdampak terlalu besar di pasar2 Asia hari ini.
Untuk HangSeng, saya perkirakan pergerakannya akan mirip dengan Kospi tetapi mungkin akan lebih baik sedikit daripada Kospi. Target harga saya untuk hari ini adalah: 26700ish-27700ish.

Asian market Preview 28/11/2007

With the Dow closing 215 pts higher at 12958.44 or 1.7% up from 27/11 close due to optimism in financial sector and from bargain hunter. However, this gain still post a concern coz consumer confidence fell to lowest in 2 years in USA and home prices also fell to the lowest. The Fed also said that the rate cut is enough for now and the white house economist said that recession chance is higher than ever. Commodities prices also fell with crude oil fell more than $2 to $94ish and gold fell to $812ish overnight. Nikkei futures at CME closed at 14250 up from yesterday's close at 14200. Today's asian markets might also follow the Dow direction but perhaps not too much or even they might go down again coz of the lingering concerns and not so good economic data which came out of the US last night. Kospi might opened up to around 238.50 at the opening bell. For day traders, it might be best to just wait it out for about an hour or so before going in the market coz of these uncertainties. But for those who are brave enough, if Kospi opened around 238ish, I think it would be safe enough to BUY and get a fairly quick profit, but you have to be real quick. My target price range for today is: 234ish-239ish. The strong triple digit close for Wall St does not justify enough for the asian markets to post really big gains today. As for HangSeng, I think it'll be not much different from Kospi and my target price range would be: 26700ish-27700ish. Hong Kong however, might move a little bit better than Kospi today.

Asian markets review for 27/11/2007

As expected, the asian markets tumbled early in the morning today. The Nikkei opened down abt 300 pts at 14805 or 2.6% lower, the Kospi opened down abt 650 pts at 230.80 or 2.8% lower while the HangSeng opened down abt 1000 pts at 26762 or 3.5% lower. For day traders who followed my guide early in the morning and wait for the trend, where would it go from here after 1 hr of trading, you can easily get 100-200 pts depending at which point you enter coz, at around 8 AM, when I saw it at 230ish, I SELL and it kept breaking low to its lowest at 227.10. For conservative day trader like me, it's enough for 1 deal a day but for those who followed my guide again and speculate at 227ish, which is near my predicted lowest point of 226ish, they would BUY and just hold it until whichever target profit you'd want. You can easily get 500 pts within 1hr from 9AM, which was when the Kospi at 227ish. Those were the 2 biggest opportunities for the day and the other trades are purely speculative. If you're brave enough, you can SELL when the Kospi was at 237ish but, if I have a BUY position from 227ish, I'd rather liquid it and just smile for the rest of the day :)
For HangSeng, it's pretty much textbook material, when the futures market opened, the index just swing up and down 100ish pts from open. When the real HangSeng index opened, it started its rally and it reached its peak of 27571 after 2hrs from the futures market opened. That is almost 1000 pts rally up. For those day trader who followed my guide from the morning preview, the open price is just too good opportunity to be missed. at around 26600ish, it'd be more than safe to BUY and just wait out for a few minutes and you can get an easy 100ish pts, and if you wait further you'll get tons. My 2nd session theory holds again today, it opened higher at 27135 from 26910 and within minutes, you can easily get 150ish pts.
Overall, my target prices today for Kospi is quite a lil bit off but it's all good, it went down close to 226 but it went much higher from 234ish. As for HangSeng, I kinda hit the spot today with the lowest was at 26599 and its highest was at 27571.

Asian markets Preview for 27/11/2007

With the Dow closing sharply lower, 237.44 or 1.8% lower, the Asian equities markets are set for another rollercoaster ride, pointing to a downside, perhaps erasing yesterday's gains. Crude Oil are closed at $97.70 after the Saudis said they'll be increasing production. Gold price is at $822ish after hitting a high of $835ish last night. JPY are seen gaining more ground against US$ to around 107.36 per US$. Nikkei futures are seen down at 14850 at CME. The Kospi today are going to have another rough ride. After the strong gains yesterday, a correction is going to happen, and I think it's not going to be pretty. For day traders who have a SELL position yesterday, they should rejoice, coz their prices are bound to get touched seeing how the market will move today. My target price range for Kospi today is at 226ish-234ish. In my opinion, the Kospi at one point today will touch a -1000 pts from yesterday's close, which means it's going to touch 227.45 at some point. If the Kospi opened the day still at 232ish, I think it's going to be OK to SELL the Kospi in the early minutes of trading to get a fairly quick hit 'n run. However, if the Kospi opened up below 232 or even below 230, it'd be best to wait it out for an hour or so.
Similar picture might also be seen for HangSeng. Both Kospi and HangSeng have risen a lil bit too fast yesterday, and what goes up hard, will come down harder. My target price range for HangSeng would be around: 26600ish-27500ish.

Asian Market review for 26/11/2007

As expected, the Asian markets opened strongly following the strong close from the Dow last Friday and after the retail sales in the US showed that they're not that bad and people are still spending for the holidays season. The Kospi opened at 228.95 and if you follow my advice and wait and see where the market is actually going, you can get a great chance in locking quite a profit today. I, myself get into position after 1hr and when I get 230. It's purely speculative and did not dare to wait for long. I didn't expect the Kospi to rise up to 237ish by today but the it is still healthy seeing that the market has been pummeled all week long for the past 8 sessions. Same thing happened with HangSeng, it opened at 27389, retreat back a bit to 27331 before going back up and play around 27400-27500ish to close the 1st session at 27445. 2nd session saw HangSeng opened at 27505 and according to my 2nd session theory, it's again proven and HangSeng move up further to close the day at 27725. Overall, not a very bad trading day for day traders. It is purely speculative to enter the market for BUY, but if you have SELL near its highest for each markets, just wait it out till tomorrow and I think it'll get to that point again.

Asian market Preview for 26/11/2007

With the Dow closed Friday's session 181.84 pts (1.42%) higher, gold at $820ish level and crude oil back above $98ish, the stage for a rebound in the Asian markets are set. The Nikkei futures are closed at 15020 on CME, which is sharply higher than the close of 14770 set on SGX on Thursday before the Friday's holidays. For Kospi, I expect it will rebound quite strongly since it has gone down very far for the past 2 weeks. It might opened up about 1.5% higher at the open at around 226ish-227ish. If the Kospi should opened up around the lower part of 226 or still in 225 region, it's safe enough to BUY and get a somewhat quick profit for day traders. However, if it opened up at above 228, it'd be best to sit out and wait to see where the trading pattern would go after 1 hour. My target price range for the Kospi today would be 226ish-232ish depending on how strong the market will be and how serious the rebound will take place for the Kospi. Also, it'll be good to wait and see the HangSeng market for directions if you're not sure which position to enter when the HangSeng market open.
For the HangSeng, a further upside will be expected too, again for day trader if the market opened up in the lower part of 1%, it'd be a best early BUY for a quick profit for day traders. My target price for HangSeng would be around 26800ish-28000ish. However, I have to tell you day traders, I'm more familiar with the Kospi rather than HangSeng coz so far, I've more equipped to track the Kospi rather than Nikkei and HangSeng.

Market Review for 23/11/2007

As expected, Asian markets are opened stronger today. Kospi was seen opened at 230.30 (0.6%) higher and for day trader who follow my target price and BUY in the morning, you should be able to get ur target of 50-100ish points within minutes. The downside is, it neve reached my safety net of 231.50+ and near 232. So, I got it in the morning and sit it out for the rest of the day and wait and see for the Dow tonight. True enough, for those who are brave enough, they would sell at 231 and get quite a lot of profit. Well, my target low was broken by Kospi by abt 300ish points below. As for HangSeng, it opened up at 26604. For day trader who follow my price target, they would sell at this point though coz it has in fact pierced my day high target price of 26600ish. It went down indeed to as low as 26167 and it went on a roller coaster ride before closing the 1st session at 26207. 2nd session opened at 26235 and my theory is proven again here, the HangSeng went back up and close the day at 26566. Today's target range for Kospi was not bad. It hit near my day high target but it went down further than expected from target day low. For HS, it hit my day high target but it didn't went down to hit my day low target. Overall, not a bad day for day trader today. You can get a minimum of 3 good chances from these 2 markets.

Asian market Preview for 23/11/2007

With US markets closed for thanksgiving holidays overnight, the asian markets are set for a rebound in my opinion. European markets have also rebounded after being hammered for the past week. The Nikkei will also be closed for labor thanksgiving holidays, so Kospi will move alone in the morning before being joined with HangSeng. Commodities prices fell again with oil at $96ish and gold at $803ish in early morning trading. If Kospi opened near yesterday's closing price, it might be best to BUY and get a fairly quick profit early in the morning. However, if it opened with quite a gap, just wait it out for the next hour or so and see its movement. My target for today's Kospi range is would be around 226ish-232ish. Day traders might find 2-3 fairly big opportunities during market trading.
As for HangSeng, I think it'll move similiar to Kospi and is set for a rebound too after being hammered consecutively. However, HangSeng need to pay close attention to China, since yesterday it closed down after China's index was closed down by 4%. My target price range for HangSeng would be around 25800ish-26600ish.

Asian Market Review for 22/11/2007

As expected Asian market are seen to open lower following Dow Jones plunge last night. However, all three markets: Nikkei, Kospi and HangSeng did have an early morning rally to get to their highest peak within 30 mins of each of their trading session. They then retreated back a bit and play around the high prices before closing down again near the end. Nikkei was closed in the positive territory but the futures was closed 20 pts to the down side. Kospi was little changed and the futures was closed on the upside at 228.85. HangSeng was closed much lower and the futures at 26085. For day traders, if you follow my advice in the morning for Kospi, the market didn't open by quite a lot, so just wait it out abt 1hr or so, then there's the opportunity to buy when the Kospi was at 225ish. You can easily get 200-300ish pts depending on how much you want your profit just under 1 hour. For me, that kind of profit is quite enough for 1 day and I'll sit it out for the rest of the day. However, for those speculative ones, you can get another 50-200 pts when the Kospi hit 230.50 (not highest point of the day). This is if you did follow my target range prices. As for HangSeng, I didn't play it today coz it's purely speculative. I expected the market to rise too in the morning, if you follow my theory, you would know that whenever HS open, it will most of the time follow the trend for the market that has already been running such as Kospi. HS and Kospi moved in similiar fashion most of the time. My target price range for Kospi was not bad for today as Kospi moved between 225.05-230.95, but my target price range for HS was off by quite a margin since HS moved between 25620-26935. Since the Dow will be closed for thanksgiving, I'm hoping that tomorrow, we will see some light at the end of the tunnel for Asian markets.

Asian Market Preview for 22/11/2007

With Dow Jones took another beating, ending down 211.1 (1.6%) overnight, Asian market set to take another beating today. CME futures showed Nikkei closed at around 14680, which is a slight upside from the close in SGX 14605 and down from Osaka. Shares in the US plunged after investors are concerned that losses from mortgage defaults will spread through the economy. Commodities prices also fell after crude oil fell almost $1 and gold fell to below $800 level again. I think today Kospi will be on a downside again, depending on the open for Nikkei too. The foreigners will still be net sellers for the Kospi market. For day trader, if the Kospi opened down by more than 2% or even 3%, it's a recommended BUY for a quick rebound and quick n easy profit for 50-100 pts. If Kospi opened just slightly lower, it'd be best to wait out for about 1hr or so before going in the market. As low as it gets, I think Kospi will only move between 225ish-230ish for today. It'll be very hard for the Kospi to push down below 225 level coz it's been down for the past week. For day trader, if the Kospi happened to touch the 225 level, I recommend BUY and hold till you get the target return you want for the day.
HangSeng will be almost identical to Kospi again today and took another beating. It might go down to below the 26000 level if foreigners think that it's the best time for them to run. Again, if HS opened down more than 2-3%, it'd be a good BUY to get a quick and easy profit. Target range for HS is between 25800ish-26600ish.

Daily markets review for 21/11/2007

The major Asian markets took another beating today with Nikkei futures down to close at 14765 (2.73%) at 1.30 PM, Kospi futures down to close at 228.20 (3.59%) at 1.05 PM and HangSeng futures down to close at 26482 (3.49%)at 3.15 PM.
My prediction for Kospi today was off by quite a lot. I didn't expect the Kospi to retreat as far as to below 230ish. It's Kospi's 5th day of consecutive retreat. For day trader, if you follow my guidelines in the morning, you should be able to get 3 successful trade today. One was at the open, if you buy it and hold for about 1hr, you should get your aim for a minimum of 50-200 pts. At around 9 AM, if you buy again at 234.00 when the Kospi retreated from its highest, you should be able to get another 50-90 pts before the Kospi plunged a lot further. The last trade was purely speculative, I personally did not dare to enter and sell Kospi at 235 because, my expectation was that the Kospi would not go down very far today. However, if you have a sell at around 10 AM, where Kospi was at 235, you can get more than 200 pts.
My predictin for HangSeng today was off too. HangSeng was the main drive for today's retreat for Kospi in my opinion. After HS market open, Kospi usually follows HS quite closely, in this case going downwards. HS opened abt 300ish pts lower and keeps breaking low to close the 1st session at 26683. My theory for 2nd session today however, was proven again. HS opened abt 300 pts below at 26397 and if you're a day trader and would like to follow my so called "fool-proof" HS 2nd session, you should sell at the open to get a quick 30 pts just in 2-5 mins time. HS however moved back up to around 26400ish before closing at 26482.
My 2nd session theory for HS was proven again today. My technique for Kospi to play at mid session around 8-10 AM was proven again today (especially good for day trader looking for quick and harmless profits).

Dow Jones ditutup menguat 51.7 points (0.4%) semalam. Pasar2 di Asia seperti Nikkei, Kospi dan HangSeng akan diperkirakan menguat kembali setelah Nikkei dan Hangseng melakukan rebound kemarin sore. Penguatan akan terjadi karena dipicu oleh komoditi2 seperti minyak dan emas. Minyak ditutup pada harga $98.20 semalam di Nymex dan emas pun telah menguat sebanyak $20. Penguatan akan terbatas karena The Fed mengeluarkan pernyataan bahwa perekonomian di Amerika akan mengalami perlambatan yg cukup lumayan tahun depan karena dipicu oleh harga minyak yg melambung dan juga US$ yg terus merosot nilainya. Nikkei Futures di CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) ditutup di level yg sama dengan Osaka dan SGX kemarin sore yaitu di level 15185. Yang bisa saya kasih tip adalah untuk Kospi, karena saya lebih cenderung memperhatikan Kospi. Pergerakan untuk Kospi hari ini, saya perkirakan ada di kisaran 234ish-239ish. Untuk day trader, jika Kospi buka di harga lebih rendah dari penutupan kemarin, ini adalah level aman untuk BUY dan jika Kospi buka di harga lebih tinggi dengan adanya gap dari harga kemarin, saya sarankan SELL untuk mendapatkan profit cepat. Untuk HangSeng sendiri, saya perkirakan penguatan akan kembali terjadi dan dia akan melakukan rebound melanjutkan sesi kemarin karena akan dibantu oleh sektor teknologi dan komoditi. Pergerakan HangSeng sendiri saya perkirakan ada di kisaran 27000ish-27800ish.

Another Volatile session for Asian Markets?

With Dow Jones finally ending up 51.7 points (0.4%) last night, it looks like the Asian markets are set for a mild rebound. The Fed minutes showed that they're concerned with the slowing US economy in 2008 and that the rate cut was a 'close' call. However, most Asian markets have already rebounded from their losses yesterday late in the session. The Nikkei futures on CME pointed to a similar open from the close in SGX and Osaka at 15185. Kospi, which I'm currently specializing in, I'm predicting it to move around 234ish-239ish for today, with the commodities sectors leading the upward trends since crude oil and precious metals prices rising last night. Crude oil last settled at $98.20 on Nymex last night. For day trader in Kospi index futures, watch for the open price. If it opens below yesterday's closing price, it's a good price to buy but if it opens above yesterday's close by a huge margin, it's safe to sell and get a fairly quick profit. For HangSeng, I think it will continue its upward trend and rebound from yesterday's losses, boosted by tech companies and commodities sectors. My target range for HangSeng is 27000ish-27800ish.
